I Burned the Boats! What’s Next?
On Friday, I resigned from my part-time job. Publishing has been a rocky road for the last almost eight years, and the part-time job helped even out my income, but it finally made financial sense to take the chance and go all in (again, IYKYK) on this dream.
For the next four months, I will be working with CJ to produce the rest of the Aura Cove Temporal Traveler series in audio. She is a DREAM to work with and has infused these lovable characters with so much life that the audio is becoming my favorite way to enjoy the series. I am also hard at work on the third series set in the Aura Cove Universe, Dort Knows Best. She’s been a lot of fun to write. Look for that late this year or early 2027. I am also brainstorming a magical realism romance series. It’s too early to comment on when the first book will be available, but it is fun to think about.
I also joined a gym. I want to suffer less from psoriatic arthritis, so that means I need to hit the weight room. Losing mobility is terrifying for me, so I have been going every other day (for almost two weeks) and already feel stronger. Next week, I plan on being so swole I have to turn sideways to fit my body through the door. #goals
