Dude. That Shingles Vaccination is no joke.
Like the naive dummy I am, I scheduled three vaccinations during the same visit with my doctor this week, anticipating the arm pain and maybe losing a day. I was not prepared to be put down like an elephant in the jungle by a blow dart. I’m talking level 7 arm pain that needed ice packs, full-body aches and pains, and a migraine headache for almost 48 hours. It was brutal. In total, it was 3 days before I felt like a normal human being.
My theory is that having a compromised immune system with multiple autoimmune diseases made the spike in immune response debilitating.
My best advice if you’re in the same boat? Space them out. Don’t be a hero. Efficiency is not that important.
Dort Knows Best First Draft is COMPLETE!
Tomorrow, I begin working on the second draft of Dort Knows Best from my next series, The Aura Cove Crones. Chock-full of hilarious moments and the most unique sidekicks, it’s the lighthearted fantasy read you’re craving right now.
The goal is to publish the e-books only during Thanksgiving week. This is 60 days earlier than stated on my website. Fingers crossed!

All with a little help from her smack talking sugar gliders.
