Ellis LaRue
Neve’s father, a devoted scientist who loved her deeply. He died under suspicious circumstances, and Neve is determined to uncover the truth behind his death.
Each book centers on a neurodivergent character who’s been wronged, and Neve and Perry work together to set things right. The geode on the cover was a gift from her father. It serves as a talisman, guiding Neve as she seeks justice for those the world misunderstands.
Meet the Animal Sidekicks of Dort Knows Best
Cheech and Chong are sugar gliders. They are tiny marsupials that can glide up to 150 feet and carry their babies in a pouch like kangaroos.
They are affectionate and need a best friend. Sugar gliders are highly social colony animals and should be kept in pairs because they cuddle, groom, and bond with each other and can self mutilate if they are lonely.
The Man-cake suggested them to me. One of my favorite parts about writing a new series is long brainstorming sessions with my hubs. When he first suggested them as a possibility, I was skeptical, but the more research I did, I knew they were perfect.
